FAQ

FAQ

How many students can you have in each assembly?

Generally 250-300, but it’s really just limited to how many your multi-purpose room will easily hold.

Do you have classroom follow-up materials?

Absolutely.  Check out this page.

What do the teachers have to do to prepare for your assembly?

Absolutely nothing!  See this page.

Do you have any information we can send home to the parents?

Yep.  Here’s the flyer that tells all about the contest.

How far in advance do we need to book an assembly?

I book up to a year in advance, so it just depends on what other dates have already been booked by other schools.  It’s best to have two or three dates available when you call, so I’m likely to have at least one of them available.

Why 45 or 60 minutes?  Most assemblies are only 45 minutes.

There’s a lot to cover while still keeping things interactive and fun.  We can schedule either 45 minutes or 60 minutes, depending on what works with your schedule.  They’re both the same price, but I prefer scheduling 60 minutes because we have more time to spend on creating our story.

Do the students need to bring pencil and paper?

Not for the assemblies.  We write the story as a group and everything we need is on the stage.  If you schedule a grade-level workshop, then students bring their pencils and I provide all of the worksheets.

Are you insured?

You betcha.  I carry full business and liability insurance, and a certificate of insurance is on file with the State PTA for your convenience.

You mention “stage” in your description of the assembly.  What if our multi-purpose room doesn’t have one?

Just a figure of speech to describe my performing area.  Stages are great, but I can make almost any inside space work, as long as there’s enough room for the students.
